Rooms and Facilities

Accommodation at Lola’s House is designed to feel calm, comfortable and practical for everyday care.

The home has 47 single en-suite rooms, with no double bedrooms. Each resident has their own private space, with support close by whenever they need it.

Alongside individual bedrooms, Lola’s House includes shared spaces for quiet moments, social time, entertainment and visits from family. The building is also designed with safety in mind, including secure access between different areas of the home.

Single En-Suite Rooms

Every bedroom at Lola’s House is a single en-suite room, giving each resident privacy within a supported care home setting.

Rooms are decorated in a neutral style, so residents can make the space feel more personal. Families are welcome to bring familiar belongings, photos and keepsakes that help the room feel more recognisable and comforting.

This personalisation can be especially reassuring for residents living with dementia. Familiar items, memories and surroundings can help someone feel more settled in their own space.

Shared Spaces

Beyond individual bedrooms, Lola’s House has a number of shared spaces built for everyday life, not just for show.

Large Lounges

Comfortable spaces to relax, watch TV or simply sit together. Residents drift in and out throughout the day, on their own terms.

Residents’ Bar

A proper sociable space, not just a drinks trolley. Residents can enjoy a relaxed moment here, including our weekly wine round.

Entertainment Area

Large TVs, music and – yes – a disco ball. It’s a small detail, but the residents always enjoy seeing it come on.

Courtyard

An enclosed outdoor space where residents can get fresh air safely, without needing to leave the grounds.

Hair Salon

An on-site salon so residents can keep up a familiar routine and feel like themselves, without having to go off-site.

On-Site Maintenance

Repairs and issues are dealt with quickly by our 24/7 on-site team, so the building always feels properly looked after.

Quiet Lounge

A calmer room away from the main lounges, where families and friends can spend private time with their loved one.

Private Car Park

Our own car park on site, so visitors can pull up a few steps from the front door instead of looking for a space on the road.

Safe and Secure by Design

Safety is built into the layout itself, not added as an afterthought.

The home has secure fob entry and controlled access between wings, so residents can move around freely within safe boundaries – giving families real peace of mind without the building feeling locked-down or restrictive. The enclosed courtyard works the same way: outdoor space that’s genuinely open, but safely contained.

The result is a layout that supports care and supervision without ever feeling like an institution.
